Our Real Madrid vs Stuttgart betting tips feature selections priced at 7/5, 10/3 and 15/2, including a win for the home side
Our betting expert has three Real Madrid vs Stuttgart bets for Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League clash at the Santiago Bernabeu (kick-off 8pm BST). Scroll down for the analysis behind his selections.
Champions Real Madrid get their Champions League campaign underway on Tuesday when they welcome Stuttgart to the Santiago Bernabeu.
The two teams will meet for the first time ever in the new league phase of the competition and the hosts will expect to make a strong start as they chase a record-extending 16th European crown.
Carlo Ancelotti’s men are unbeaten in all six competitive games they have played this season, but they are only third in the La Liga table, four points behind Barcelona.
Los Blancos won both their games either side of the international break 2-0, but they may struggle to keep Stuttgart at bay.
Sebastian Hoeness’s side recorded their first Bundesliga win last weekend as they beat Borussia Monchengladbach 3-1 on their travels, and they have now scored 14 in all competitions this season.
Ancelotti is missing a few first-team stars, with Brahim Diaz, Eduardo Camavinga and Dani Ceballos all absent, so Stuttgart have every chance of finding the back of the net in Spain.
Real Madrid vs Stuttgart tip 1: Real Madrid to win and both teams to score @ 7/5 with bet365
While the hosts are the reigning champions and command respect, Stuttgart’s recent form suggests they will make a flying start.
Madrid have been level at the break with the last three Bundesliga clubs they have hosted in the Champions League, while Die Roten have scored four of their seven league goals this season inside the first 22 minutes.
Stuttgart’s ability to start fast and catch their opponents off guard will be a huge boost for their European exploits, but they probably won’t have enough quality to hold on.
Madrid have started slowly in the league so far, with only one of their nine goals in La Liga coming before the break.
Ancelotti’s team usually finds a way though, and they have won nine of their last 12 home games in the Champions League.
Stuttgart have proven they can fly out of the blocks, but they are facing the best team in Europe who should prove once again how good they are on the big stage.
Real Madrid vs Stuttgart tip 2: Draw – Real Madrid – half-time/full-time @ 10/3 with bet365
Mbappe has had his fair share of critics so far since his move to Madrid, but the former Paris Saint-Germain ace has scored three goals in five matches.
The Frenchman will spearhead Real’s attack on Tuesday and he should be in the spotlight from the outset. He has recorded 12 shots on target from 29 efforts in five games this season, and he will be at the heart of everything the hosts do.
Stuttgart ace Undav should also be able to test goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, having registered seven shots on target in three games at an average of 2.33/game.
Another man who could grab the headlines is Stuttgart defender Julian Chabot. The physical centre-back has been booked twice already in only five games this season. Chabot has averaged 2.4 tackles per game across those five matches but he will have to mark Mbappe on Tuesday night, so he will do well to avoid going into the referee’s book.
Real Madrid vs Stuttgart tip 3: Bet builder: Kylian Mbappe over 1.5 shots on target, Deniz Undav over 0.5 shots on target, Julian Chabot to be booked @ 15/2 with bet365
